2 И сказал559 царь4428 Иоаву3097 военачальнику,82692428 который был при нем: пройди7751 по всем коленам7626 Израилевым3478 от Дана1835 до Вирсавии,884 и исчислите6485 народ,5971 чтобы мне знать3045 число4557 народа.5971

3 И сказал559 Иоав3097 царю:4428 Господь3068 Бог430 твой да умножит3254 столько народа,5971 сколько есть, и еще во сто3967 раз6471 столько, а очи5869 господина113 моего царя4428 да увидят7200 это; но для чего господин113 мой царь4428 желает2654 этого дела?1697

12 пойди1980 и скажи559 Давиду:1732 так говорит1696 Господь:3068 три7969 наказания предлагаю5190 Я тебе; выбери977 себе одно259 из них, которое совершилось6213 бы над тобою.

13 И пришел935 Гад1410 к Давиду,1732 и возвестил5046 ему, и сказал559 ему: избирай себе, быть935 ли голоду7458 в стране776 твоей семь7651 лет,8141 или чтобы ты три7969 месяца2320 бегал5127 от неприятелей6862 твоих, и они преследовали7291 тебя, или чтобы в продолжение трех7969 дней3117 была моровая1698 язва1698 в стране776 твоей? теперь рассуди3045 и реши,7200 что мне отвечать77251697 Пославшему7971 меня.

15 И послал5414 Господь3068 язву1698 на Израильтян3478 от утра1242 до назначенного4150 времени;6256 и умерло4191 из народа,5971 от Дана1835 до Вирсавии,884 семьдесят7657 тысяч505 человек.376

16 И простер7971 Ангел4397 руку3027 свою на Иерусалим,3389 чтобы опустошить7843 его; но Господь3068 пожалел5162 о бедствии7451 и сказал559 Ангелу,4397 поражавшему7843 народ:5971 довольно,7227 теперь опусти7503 руку3027 твою. Ангел4397 же Господень3068 был тогда у гумна1637 Орны728 Иевусеянина.2983

17 И сказал559 Давид1732 Господу,3068 когда увидел7200 Ангела,4397 поражавшего5221 народ,5971 говоря:559 вот, я согрешил,2398 я поступил5753 беззаконно;5753 а эти овцы,6629 что сделали6213 они? пусть же рука3027 Твоя обратится на меня и на дом отца1004 моего.

18 И пришел935 в тот день3117 Гад1410 к Давиду1732 и сказал:559 иди,5927 поставь6965 жертвенник4196 Господу3068 на гумне1637 Орны728 Иевусеянина.2983

19 И пошел5927 Давид1732 по слову1697 Гада,1410 как повелел6680 Господь.3068

20 И взглянул8259 Орна728 и увидел7200 царя4428 и слуг5650 его, шедших5674 к нему, и вышел3318 Орна728 и поклонился7812 царю4428 лицем639 своим до земли.776

21 И сказал559 Орна:728 зачем пришел935 господин113 мой царь4428 к рабу5650 своему? И сказал559 Давид:1732 купить7069 у тебя гумно1637 для устроения1129 жертвенника4196 Господу,3068 чтобы прекратилось6113 поражение4046 народа.5971

22 И сказал559 Орна728 Давиду:1732 пусть возьмет3947 и вознесет5927 в жертву господин113 мой, царь,4428 что ему угодно.28965869 Вот7200 волы1241 для всесожжения5930 и повозки4173 и упряжь3627 воловья1241 на дрова.6086

23 Все это, царь,4428 Орна728 отдает5414 царю.4428 Еще сказал559 Орна728 царю:4428 Господь3068 Бог430 твой да будет7521 милостив7521 к тебе!

24 Но царь4428 сказал559 Орне:728 нет, я заплачу7069 тебе, что стоит,4242 и не вознесу5927 Господу3068 Богу430 моему жертвы,5930 взятой даром.2600 И купил7069 Давид1732 гумно1637 и волов1241 за пятьдесят2572 сиклей8255 серебра.3701

Chapter 24

1 AND again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he incited David against them and said to him, Go, number Israel and Judah.

2 So the king said to Joab the commander of the army who was with him. Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beer-sheba and number the people, and bring to me the sum of the number of the people.

3 And Joab said to the king, May the LORD your God add to the people a hundredfold, howsoever many they be, so that the eyes of my lord the king may see it; but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?

4 Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab and against the commanders of the army. And Joab and the commanders of the army went out from the presence of the king to number the people of Israel.

5 And they crossed the Jordan and came to Sharob, which is on the right side of the city that lies in the midst of the valley of Gad and toward Eleazer;

6 Then they came to Tyre and Zidon, to the land of the Canaanites and the land of the Hittites and the land of the Jebusites,

7 And when they had gone through the whole land, they came to the land of Judah in thirty-eight days. Then they came to Dan, and circled Zidon.

8 And when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.

9 And Joab brought the sum of the number of the people to the king; and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men who drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

10 But David's heart smote him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, I have sinned greatly in what I have done; and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, for I have done very foolishly.

11 When David arose in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, saying,

12 Go and say to David, Thus says the LORD: I will bring upon you one of three calamities; choose one of them, that I may do it to you.

13 So the prophet Gad came to David and said to him, These are the calamities which may come upon you: there shall seven years of famine come in your land, or you shall flee three months before your enemies while they pursue you, or there shall be three days of pestilence in your land. Now therefore say what answer I shall return to him who sent me to you.

14 Then David answered and said to the prophet Gad, I am greatly distressed; it is better for me to be punished by the hand of the LORD our God; for his mercies are great: let us not be punished by the hand of men.

15 So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning until the evening; and there died of the people from Dan to Beer-sheba seventy thousand men.

16 And when the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD restrained the angel of death who was destroying the people, and said to him, You have destroyed enough, stay now your hand. And the angel of the LORD was standing by the threshing floor of Aran the Jebusite.

17 Then David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel who smote the people, and said to the angel, I have sinned and I have given provocation; but these innocent sheep, what have they done? Let thy hand be against me, and against my father's house.

18 And Gad the prophet came that day to David and said to him, Go up and build an altar to the LORD in the threshing floor of Aran the Jebusite.

19 And David went up, according to the word of Gad, as the LORD had commanded him.

20 And when Aran the Jebusite turned back and saw the king and his servants coming toward him, Aran fell down and did obeisance to the king with his face to the ground.

21 And Aran said, Why has my lord the king come to his servant? And David said to him, To buy the threshing floor from you, to build an altar to the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.

22 Then Aran said to David, Let my lord the king take what seems good to him; behold, here are the oxen for the burnt offering, and the ploughshare and the yokes for fuel.

23 All these things did Aran give to King David. And Aran said to the king, May the LORD your God bless you.

24 And the king said to Aran, No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; and I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God of that which cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor by the garden and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

25 And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

2 So the king said to Joab the commander of the army who was with him. Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beer-sheba and number the people, and bring to me the sum of the number of the people.

3 And Joab said to the king, May the LORD your God add to the people a hundredfold, howsoever many they be, so that the eyes of my lord the king may see it; but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?

4 Но слово1697 царя4428 Иоаву3097 и военачальникам82692428 превозмогло;2388 и пошел3318 Иоав3097 с военачальниками82692428 от царя4428 считать6485 народ5971 Израильский.3478

8 And when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.

9 And Joab brought the sum of the number of the people to the king; and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men who drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

10 But David's heart smote him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, I have sinned greatly in what I have done; and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, for I have done very foolishly.

11 Когда Давид1732 встал6965 на другой день утром,1242 то было слово1697 Господа3068 к Гаду1410 пророку,5030 прозорливцу2374 Давида:1732

11 When David arose in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, saying,

12 пойди1980 и скажи559 Давиду:1732 так говорит1696 Господь:3068 три7969 наказания предлагаю5190 Я тебе; выбери977 себе одно259 из них, которое совершилось6213 бы над тобою.

12 Go and say to David, Thus says the LORD: I will bring upon you one of three calamities; choose one of them, that I may do it to you.

13 So the prophet Gad came to David and said to him, These are the calamities which may come upon you: there shall seven years of famine come in your land, or you shall flee three months before your enemies while they pursue you, or there shall be three days of pestilence in your land. Now therefore say what answer I shall return to him who sent me to you.

14 И сказал559 Давид1732 Гаду:1410 тяжело6887 мне очень;3966 но пусть впаду5307 я в руки3027 Господа,3068 ибо велико7227 милосердие7356 Его; только бы в руки3027 человеческие120 не впасть5307 мне.

14 Then David answered and said to the prophet Gad, I am greatly distressed; it is better for me to be punished by the hand of the LORD our God; for his mercies are great: let us not be punished by the hand of men.

15 И послал5414 Господь3068 язву1698 на Израильтян3478 от утра1242 до назначенного4150 времени;6256 и умерло4191 из народа,5971 от Дана1835 до Вирсавии,884 семьдесят7657 тысяч505 человек.376

15 So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning until the evening; and there died of the people from Dan to Beer-sheba seventy thousand men.

16 И простер7971 Ангел4397 руку3027 свою на Иерусалим,3389 чтобы опустошить7843 его; но Господь3068 пожалел5162 о бедствии7451 и сказал559 Ангелу,4397 поражавшему7843 народ:5971 довольно,7227 теперь опусти7503 руку3027 твою. Ангел4397 же Господень3068 был тогда у гумна1637 Орны728 Иевусеянина.2983

16 And when the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD restrained the angel of death who was destroying the people, and said to him, You have destroyed enough, stay now your hand. And the angel of the LORD was standing by the threshing floor of Aran the Jebusite.

17 И сказал559 Давид1732 Господу,3068 когда увидел7200 Ангела,4397 поражавшего5221 народ,5971 говоря:559 вот, я согрешил,2398 я поступил5753 беззаконно;5753 а эти овцы,6629 что сделали6213 они? пусть же рука3027 Твоя обратится на меня и на дом отца1004 моего.

17 Then David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel who smote the people, and said to the angel, I have sinned and I have given provocation; but these innocent sheep, what have they done? Let thy hand be against me, and against my father's house.

18 And Gad the prophet came that day to David and said to him, Go up and build an altar to the LORD in the threshing floor of Aran the Jebusite.

19 И пошел5927 Давид1732 по слову1697 Гада,1410 как повелел6680 Господь.3068

19 And David went up, according to the word of Gad, as the LORD had commanded him.

20 И взглянул8259 Орна728 и увидел7200 царя4428 и слуг5650 его, шедших5674 к нему, и вышел3318 Орна728 и поклонился7812 царю4428 лицем639 своим до земли.776

20 And when Aran the Jebusite turned back and saw the king and his servants coming toward him, Aran fell down and did obeisance to the king with his face to the ground.

21 И сказал559 Орна:728 зачем пришел935 господин113 мой царь4428 к рабу5650 своему? И сказал559 Давид:1732 купить7069 у тебя гумно1637 для устроения1129 жертвенника4196 Господу,3068 чтобы прекратилось6113 поражение4046 народа.5971

21 And Aran said, Why has my lord the king come to his servant? And David said to him, To buy the threshing floor from you, to build an altar to the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.

22 Then Aran said to David, Let my lord the king take what seems good to him; behold, here are the oxen for the burnt offering, and the ploughshare and the yokes for fuel.

23 Все это, царь,4428 Орна728 отдает5414 царю.4428 Еще сказал559 Орна728 царю:4428 Господь3068 Бог430 твой да будет7521 милостив7521 к тебе!

23 All these things did Aran give to King David. And Aran said to the king, May the LORD your God bless you.

24 Но царь4428 сказал559 Орне:728 нет, я заплачу7069 тебе, что стоит,4242 и не вознесу5927 Господу3068 Богу430 моему жертвы,5930 взятой даром.2600 И купил7069 Давид1732 гумно1637 и волов1241 за пятьдесят2572 сиклей8255 серебра.3701

24 And the king said to Aran, No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; and I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God of that which cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor by the garden and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

25 И соорудил1129 там Давид1732 жертвенник4196 Господу3068 и принес5927 всесожжения5930 и мирные8002 жертвы.8002 И умилостивился6279 Господь3068 над страною,776 и прекратилось6113 поражение4046 Израильтян.3478

25 And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
